A Doberman pinscher named Penny won best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Penny bested six other finalists Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Penny is a Doberman Pinscher, becoming the fourth of its breed to win the Westminster Dog Show. Doberman Pinschers last won Best in Show in 1989, and also came in first place in 1952, 1953 and 1939.

More than 3,000 champion dogs from around the world are competing in the 2026 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
