President Donald Trump and Iran bicker over participation in the FIFA World Cup in the United States as war rages in the Middle East.

Trump said Iran’s national soccer team was welcome at the World Cup but questioned whether it was safe for them to participate.

Trump claims Iran is "totally defeated" and desires a deal he won't accept amidst ongoing tensions in the region.

"You know, you hear the term gaslighting a lot," the comedian said, "but rarely when it comes to actual gas."

Iran has launched multiple attacks on Gulf Arab states, including dozens of drones at Saudi Arabia, following warnings from its new supreme leader about hosting American bases. The strikes were launched early Friday after US President Donald Trump threatened a major new retaliation.

According to US President Donald Trump's announcement, the strikes were focused on military targets on the island and avoided the oil installations.
