The Golden Fool’s Mailbag: When should the 49ers bench Brock Purdy? Have the 49ers turned a corner at safety with Ji’Ayir Brown/Malik Mustapha?
Anyways, I think the 49ers saw what they had in Brown and thought they could replace Talanoa Hufanga rather than pay that contract he got with the Denver Broncos. Quarterback Brock Purdy has also dealt with injuries this year. He's played in just four games this season, throwing eight touchdowns to seven interceptions.
