Fields’ words filled C.J. Stroud with pride. The Houston Texans quarterback said he heard what his college teammate had to say and couldn’t have been more pleased with his message. “I’m just so proud of my brother, his growth with that and just his vulnerability,” Stroud said. “It’s hard.”

For the season, Stroud has a 63.1 " Total QBR " rating from ESPN, which ranks 13th out of 32 starting QBs entering Week 9. His passer rating of 91.1 ranks 15th, which is higher than that of notable players like Broncos' Bo Nix, Mahomes, the Philadelphia Eagles ' Jalen Hurts, and the Chicago Bears ' Caleb Williams.
