Chelsea are set to complete a deal for a central defender as an agreement is in place between both parties, while negotiations are ongoing to find a transfer fee.

Chelsea have agreed a £17m deal to sign French centre-back Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg, according to reports. Sarr, 19, has made 12 appearances for Ligue 1 side Strasbourg since joining from Lyon last summer. Todd Boehly ’s BlueCo consortium, which took over Chelsea in 2022, also own Strasbourg so a deal was reached amicably.

Chelsea are closing in on a deal worth around £12million to sign 19-year-old defender Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg. Strasbourg are owned by BlueCo, the parent company of Chelsea, and Sarr will move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

West Ham are in advanced talks to reunite Chelsea analyst Kyle Macauley with Graham Potter. A deal is expected to be completed this week as negotiations about an exit package move in the right direction, according to sources at both clubs.
