SUNRISE, Fla. -- Paul Maurice earned his 900th NHL win when the Florida Panthers defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 5-1 at Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday. He became the fourth coach to reach the mark, joining Scotty Bowman (1,244), Joel Quenneville (969) and Barry Trotz (914).

Sam Reinhart got his 30th goal of the season and added two assists, Matthew Tkachuk scored for the third time in the last four games and the Florida Panthers beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-1.

Slaggert scored seven seconds into Chicago’s game at the Panthers Saturday afternoon — the fastest goal to start a game ever for the Blackhawks, according to the NHL record book.
