The Fort Smith board of directors has voted to fire City Administrator Carl E. Geffken. This comes after comments made by Geffken in a recent regular meeting, Geffken could be heard saying "stupid" after someone spoke.

Fort Smith City Administrator Carl Geffken is out, following a unanimous vote by the city's Board of Directors on Tuesday.

The move comes after the board unanimously voted to oust Carl Geffken from the position on Tuesday in a special session called for his performance evaluation.
