Supreme Court decision letting US states legalize gambling, related content has been hard to miss, whether it's odds tickers flashed during sports broadcasts, superstar athletes and celebrities hawking betting sites during commercial breaks or YouTube videos promising that you won't lose if you only use this gambling service.

YouTube will only allow references to online gambling sites that “meet local requirements,” which suggests some wiggle room. It also excludes videos that show online sports betting or in-person gambling,

Gambling content is seemingly everywhere on the internet today. Even viral videos completely unrelated to betting or casinos now sport advertisements for gambling websites. YouTube is now cracking down on some of that gambling content.

According to the video-sharing platform, the strengthened policies prohibit any method of directing viewers to gambling sites or applications that are not certified by Google.
