The back-to-back champions of Europe had won their crown on foreign soil -- the first England senior team ever to achieve such a feat -- and so perhaps could have been forgiven for underestimating the scale of affection for them back home.

England captain Leah Williamson says the Lionesses are targeting more silverware after telling fans at Tuesday’s Euros parade in London: “This story is not done yet”. Williamson and her Lionesses team-mates enjoyed an open-top bus procession along The Mall to celebrate their Euro 2025 triumph.
