Fans are wondering why NetEase Games’ Marvel Rivals is not on last-gen platforms PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. They are also curious to know if the new PVP hero shooter will ever come on those platforms as the game launched exclusively on current-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X/S,

Due to datamining of in-game files, many leakers have found references to various upcoming Marvel Rival characters that are seemingly being worked on. Obviously, with all of these, it’s mostly speculation based on information found in the files. However, it’s clear Netease has plans for these characters, as work on them appears ongoing.

Unfortunately, anyone who hasn’t upgraded to current-gen consoles will miss out on Marvel Rivals, as it won’t be coming to PS4. If you’re interested in playing the game on PlayStation, you’ll need a PS5. There’s no news so far on whether or not it may be coming down the line later, but considering there’s been no word on this, it seems unlikely.
