The worst has officially been confirmed for a New York Rangers forward after as he was forced to exit the game early on Saturday afternoon when the team faced the Boston Bruins.

The New York Rangers announced that forward Adam Edstrom will miss the next 10-14 weeks with a lower-body injury. Edstrom was injured during Saturday’s contest versus the Boston Bruins and did not return to the game.

The Rangers’ fourth line has taken a big hit — both in physical size and in impact. Adam Edstrom is out for two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half months with a lower-body injury. He exited the Rangers’ loss to the Bruins on Saturday with the injury and subsequently missed the team’s win over the Golden Knights on Sunday.

While speaking to reporters, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco shared that Jeremy Swayman will be the Bruins’ starter against the Wild. Swayman, 26, was the Bruins' starter in their last contest against the Rangers.
