Hundreds of young players and cheerleaders turned out Tuesday to celebrate Biddy Basketball Night as Honesdale hosted Lakeland in Division II action.

Led by senior captain Mason Avery, Honesdale powered its way into the District 2 Class AA team duals tournament finals with a pair of dominant wins.

The Hornets pummeled Valley View 62-11 in capturing their third consecutive Lackawanna League crown before a big Senior Night crowd.
