President Trump said Monday that he disagrees with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's assessment from a few months ago that Iran is not currently trying to build a nuclear weapon and has not been doing so since 2003.

Gabbard released the warning video at a sensitive time when Israeli officials were lobbying Trump at the White House to back an Israeli attack on Iran. Trump and his allies interpreted Gabbard's message as a warning to Trump not to greenlight Israel's actions.
