BEAUMONT, Texas — With a winter storm sweeping across Southeast Texas many are feeling the chill, however this cold snap isn't just effecting people. The cold weather is also taking a toll on one of Louisiana's and Southeast Texas' favorite tradition, crawfish season.

Icy conditions are the biggest worry with winter precipitation, but the latest forecasts keep most of the risk for ice much farther north of Houston.

A major winter storm is forecasted to drop as much as 6-8 inches on some parts of southeast Texas starting Monday night.
