The small plane crash in South Florida comes a day after a New York City sightseeing helicopter broke apart in midair and crashed upside-down into the Hudson River, killing the pilot and a family of five Spanish tourists.
Six people in total died, as the chopper broke apart mid-air and crashed into the Hudson river, including three children.
But an anti-helicopter advocacy group told the Advance/SILive.com that the chopper traffic here and over other parts of the city isn’t just a nuisance but could be a deadly disaster waiting to happen.
Much of the money was to go toward flood mitigation in vulnerable areas of New York City that were struck hard by Hurricane Sandy and the remnants of Hurricane Ida.
