The Buffalo Bills, like all other 31 teams in the league, have kicked off training camp this week. While the organization heads into camp with one of the deepest rosters in football, they did have some health concerns to deal with.
Last season with the Bills, Cook was a huge part of the elite offense the team put together. He carried the football 207 times in 16 games for 1,009 yards and 16 touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards per carry. He also caught 32 passes for 258 yards and two scores.
The first day of Bills training camp also saw CB Christian Benford's strong day and an injury concern along the offensive line.
Now, as Buffalo gets ready to be on the field, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Wednesday morning that he anticipates Cook will practice. “He’s ready to go ,” McDermott said, via Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.
The Buffalo Bills use their second-round pick to replace pending free agent James Cook in a recent 2026 NFL mock draft.
