Dyson added the Supersonic r to its hair dryer lineup. It’s the brand’s lightest, smallest and most expensive model to date.

The device, which is 20 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than its predecessor, has been used only by stylists for one year.

The Dyson Supersonic r Professional will remain on sale on Dyson’s 'For Business' website page as well as via select trade distributors. It looks like the two versions are identical, except the 'Professional' version has a longer cable, making it more suited to use in a salon. The Pro version also has different colorways.

Since its launch just over a year ago, Dyson’s upgraded Supersonic r hairdryer has only been available for purchase by salons and professional stylists. But today the company announced the styling tool will be available to everyone in the US starting tomorrow, and in April for those in Europe, according to a report by Yahoo.
