Stephen Nagy purchased his 100X The Cash game-winning ticket from the Publix at 4173 South Tamiami Trail in Venice and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump sum payment of $1,280,000. The store he bought the ticket from will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

Stephen Nagy, of Venice, beat odds of 1 in 3,313,314 to win $2 million in the 100X The Cash game, the Florida Lottery said in a Jan. 31 news release. The scratch-off game launched Jan. 15, 2024, and Nagy got a top prize for matching all the right numbers.

The winning numbers: 9-12-15-28-36. The winner hit the jackpot in St. Cloud, a roughly 30-mile drive south from Orlando. The lucky ticket was sold at a store called A Discount Beverage, the Florida Lottery wrote on its website and in a news release.

A lottery ticket sold at a Florida convenience store netted a life-changing prize for one lucky player. Someone hit the Fantasy 5 jackpot, winning $102,255.36 in the evening drawing Sunday, Jan. 26, according to the Florida Lottery. The lucky ticket matched all five numbers.

Saturday’s big money lottery draws — Powerball, Florida Lotto, Cash4Life, Fantasy 5 — produced three winners in one game, one of which bought the ticket at a North Miami-Dade supermarket.

Another Fantasy 5 player hit the jackpot earlier that day, winning $50,763.43 in the game’s midday drawing, per the Florida Lottery. That winning ticket was sold at the Barefoot Bay Food Store in Sebastian. Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, lottery officials said.
