There still seem to be limited talks between the Dallas Cowboys front office and Micah Parson's reps about a new contract. The pass rusher remained mum about his situation.

Parsons, who demanded a trade earlier in camp after months of unsuccessful contract extension talks with the Cowboys, declined to speak with reporters on Wednesday after the team’s final padded practice in Oxnard, California. “My mouth is closed,” he said, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

The sides remain in a stalemate, with Parsons’ Aug. 1 trade request not spurring any urgency. The Cowboys’ season opener on Sept. 4 apparently isn’t a deadline, either. “No, not at all,” Jones said Wednesday, via video from Jonah Javad of WFAA. “ You don’t have deadlines when you’re playing under a contract.”
