New FSU football offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn said he is excited about continuing to coach and reuniting with head coach Mike Norvell.

Gus Malzahn made waves when he chose to leave the UCF Knights, where he was the head coach, to become the offensive coordinator for the Florida State Seminoles. However, for Malzahn himself, it was a decision that made all the sense in the world.

While Norvell was never under threat of being fired – his $64.1 million contract buyout offered protection – a new, promising vibe is emerging from inside the Moore Athletic Center on Stadium Drive.
