A judge in Osceola County has denied Stephan Sterns’ efforts to keep the media and public out of the courtroom when he goes to trial.

The motion to dismiss for “extraordinary governmental misconduct” accused prosecutors of withholding critical evidence from Read’s defense team. Many of the claims from her lawyers centered on surveillance videos from the Canton Police station on the day Read’s car was towed there.
