A Powerball player in Texas won $2 million, just missing the $217 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched five winning numbers and the Power Play multiplier but not the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, July 9, the Texas Lottery said.
More than 575,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million, the lottery said.
