Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shreyas Iyer will play in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy match against Jammu & Kashmir at the Sharad Pawar Academy Ground in BKC. The MCA will increase seating to 500 for fans.

Notably, Rohit last played in the Ranji Trophy back in 2015. His recent outing on India's Test tour of Australia was disappointing as he managed just 31 runs across five innings, following which he stepped down from the XI for the final Test in Sydney.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma will be looking to get his touch back when he plays for Mumbai for the first time in almost a decade in the Ranji Trophy when they face Jammu & Kashmir from January 23 at the MCA-BKC Ground. Regular skipper Ajinkya Rahane will lead the Mumbai side, according to an announcement from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal have been named in Mumbai's squad for the sixth round of the Ranji trophy clash against Jammu and Kashmir. Rohit last played in the domestic red-ball tournament in 2015 when he featured for Mumbai in a clash against Uttar Pradesh.

The team will continue to be led by the seasoned Ajinkya Rahane, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said while announcing the squad on Monday.

Rohit even attended the match simulation ahead of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 un-pause and faced pacers alongside his colleague Ajinkya Rahane.

Rohit scored only 31 runs in five innings in a disastrous tour of Australia, seeing him drop himself for the fifth Test in Sydney. India lost the series 3-1, and Rohit's future in the longest format of the game is up in the air.

Ahead of the Champions Trophy squad announcement, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya were spotted training together in Mumbai.
