Tom Rafferty, an anchor of the Dallas Cowboys ' offensive line during the late 1970s and 1980s and a member of the franchise's Super Bowl XII-winning team, died Thursday after suffering a stroke. Rafferty, who had been hosptalized since early May according to his daughter, was 70.

Former Cowboys lineman Tom Rafferty was remembered for making the key block to spring Tony Dorsett's NFL-record 99-yard touchdown run. He died shortly after having a stroke.

Tom Rafferty, who played 14 seasons at center and right guard for the Dallas Cowboys and won Super Bowl XII with the team to cap the 1977 season, died Thursday at the age of 70.
