The National Weather Service expects multiple inches of snow on Tuesday in Southeast Texas. This is the best estimates based on the latest forecasts.

A storm bringing snow, sleet and bitter cold to southeast Texas could drop as much as 8 inches of snow on metropolitan Houston.

National Weather Service locations across Texas have forecast totals from a half-inch to five inches of snow between Monday and Tuesday.

Just after 7 a.m. Monday, "feels-like" temperatures were as low as 10 degrees in some spots of North Texas and in the low teens in the metroplex making for dangerous conditions to be outside for an extended period of time.

A cold front hit North Texas overnight, bringing frigid temperatures and the potential for light snow to the region through Wednesday.
