The USS Nimitz aircraft carrier, previously on what was thought to be its final patrol in the Indo-Pacific, is being redeployed to the Middle East, demonstrating US naval flexibility amid the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.

The U.S. military is also sending aircraft to the Middle East and Europe in case they are needed to support U.S. installations overseas.
