Vanderbilt baseball’s offense and defense has started to heat up at the perfect time. One of the underlying causes of it? Trust.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/ WVLT) - The Tennessee Volunteers fall to Vanderbilt in a run-rule, seven inning 10-0 victory in the SEC Tournament Semifinals. The Commodores advance to the SEC Tournament Championship while the Vols wait to hear where they will land in the NCAA tournament.

Vanderbilt put together a dominant pitching performance in its win over Oklahoma on Thursday in the SEC Tournament.

The Commodores swept Kentucky by a total of four runs and is now setup to be one of the top eight national seeds in the NCAA Tournament next week.

The Commodores won 12 of their final 16 SEC games, including a road series win over Tennessee. In total, Vanderbilt won six of its 10 SEC series with four sweeps: at home over Georgia, Texas A&M and Kentucky and on the road over Florida.
