During the late 1970s, the Great Tower was under renovation, so that year's academical clerks weren't able to climb up on May Morning to sing the Hymnus Eucharisticus. For those who matriculated in 1975-78, they sang from the top of the Founder's Tower instead. A much easier climb, but further from The High and the crowds. For more than 45 years these academical clerks (Singers in the Magdalen Choir) have been waiting to sing from the Tower. Now, after all this time, they've finally done it! #ma
