Jal Mahal, the iconic “Water Palace” of Jaipur, stands gracefully amid the serene Man Sagar Lake, exemplifying the grandeur of Rajput-Mughal architecture. Constructed circa 1699 by Maharaja Jai Singh II as a royal hunting lodge for duck shooting, the palace was later renovated and expanded in the early 18th century. Crafted from local red sandstone, this five-story edifice features four submerged levels when the lake is full, with the uppermost floor adorned by elegant chhatris (domed pavilions)
